Discover the Latest Updates on the 2026 Ram 1500
At Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Tampa Bay in Tampa Bay, FL, near Riverview, Land O’ Lakes, and Dade City, we know our customers love the Ram 1500. That’s why we’re excited to tell you about upcoming changes to the 2026 Ram 1500 model. Stop and see us—we’ll fill you in on the latest details.
The Return of the Esteemed HEMI V-8 Engine
The most exciting update on the 2026 Ram 1500 is the return of the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine. Ram revived the HEMI for 2026 due to customer demand, and paired it with their eTorque mild-hybrid system to offer 395 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. of torque.
The HEMI is offered across the lineup. For most trims—including Tradesman®, Express, Warlock, Big Horn®, and Laramie®—the V-8 is an upgrade, while for the Limited and Limited Longhorn® models it’s available at no extra cost. A new fender-mounted “Symbol of Protest” badge marks the return of the beloved V-8.
Expanded Powertrain Lineup: More Choice, More Capability
While the HEMI’s comeback is a big story, it doesn’t displace Ram’s modern, efficient engines. The 2026 Ram 1500 continues to offer the 3.0-liter twin-turbo "Hurricane" inline-six engine, available in both Standard-Output and High-Output variants.
- The Standard Output version delivers around 420 hp and 469 lb.-ft. of torque, a strong choice for everyday driving and towing.
- The High-Output Hurricane cranks that up to 540 hp and 521 lb.-ft. of torque, giving drivers serious muscle without relying on a V-8 engine.
Adding the HEMI back into the mix means that Ram faithfully addresses the spectrum of customer desires, whether you want the heritage V-8 sound and feel or the turbocharged efficiency and torque of a newer engine.
New Ram 1500 Warranty, Trim, and Styling Options
One of the most practical (and impressive) updates for 2026 is Ram’s new 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. It covers critical components like the engine, transmission, driveshafts, axles, and more.
Ram has also added a new Express trim for 2026. This driver-focused model brings distinctive styling cues, like blacked-out headlamp bezels and dark interior accents, while offering both rear-wheel and four-wheel drive.
There’s also a Black Express appearance package, which adds even more visual flair: black 20-inch wheels, black exterior badging, a sporty hood, and more. For Tampa Bay drivers who want rugged style without overspending, this is a compelling new option.
